As a 24 year old Canadian singer songwriter and producer, Julia Nicholson balances storytelling, soulful guitar lines, and an intimacy of voice with a musical maturity beyond her years.
Inspired by a childhood listening to Fleetwood Mac, Bill Withers, Etta James, and the Eagles’ records, her debut album exhibits musicality and artistic clarity unparalleled by her contemporaries in the pop world. Since releasing her first self titled EP at age 15 some of her highlighted accomplishments have been recording sessions in LA, showcases and songwriting camps in Nashville, opening a 10,000 seat show in Singapore, to recording and establishing herself as a co-producer for her debut album “What A Feeling” in Toronto with Ari Rhodes and Mikhail Cronin.
Listen closely to her latest single, “I Got You,” With impeccable attention to production and dynamics inspired by the legends of pop, soul, and R&B, Julia’s latest work mediates that delicate line between pushing the sonic boundaries of genre and performance, positioning her firmly among the musical greats of Canada’s pop and songwriting worlds.
Scotty Hills
TUESDAY, JUNE 24TH

TICKETS: $10
-
Scotty Hills is a singer-songwriter from Saskatoon whose sound blends country blues with soulful sophistication. Influenced by Marvin Gaye, Taj Mahal, and Gerry Rafferty, his music weaves introspective lyrics with earthy melodies and rich arrangements.
Starting as a drummer with alt-blues band The Perpetrators, he co-wrote their Juno-nominated album The Gas and the Clutch. After releasing his debut solo album Wonderland Urgency, he relocated to the West Coast and produced Year of Septembers, leading to a publishing deal with Ole Indie and writing sessions at Westlake Studios for Rihanna.
Raised by musician parents and shaped by weekends on the farm, Scotty’s music reflects his roots—drawing from R&B, country, and classic rock. This duality shines on Nature Girl (2017), where traditional country meets lush R&B ballads.
Following a year in Nashville, Scotty is back on the West Coast finishing his fourth album The Great Regression and preparing for a UK tour. He currently lives in Vancouver and is pursuing a Master’s in Music Education at UBC.
